The Maui Ocean Center Gift Shop is an expansive and beautiful facility of more than 6,000 square feet featuring not only unique marine animal collectibles and souvenirs, but lovely handmade jewelry, vibrant island pieces of art and amazing sculptures that have been created by some of the island’s most prominent artists. I love this place and have been there many times. The Maui Ocean Center called the "The Hawaiian Aquarium" is the largest tropical reef aquarium in the Western hemisphere. The center offers tours by marine naturalists, presentations and exhibits of thousands of indigenous fish, sharks, turtles, stingrays and other fascinating marine animals. The Travel Channel had a great episode of Girl Meets Hawaii with Samantha Brown featuring The Maui Ocean Center.
